The building

161 Gilbert is a wonderful building with good owners and a shared courtyard with dining table and chairs. A shared roof deck with city views is a large draw to the building. One of the best sights from the roof is the 40,000 square-foot mural by Brian Barneclo (SF Mural), the same street artist who painted the mural inside Candyland. Barnelco's mural inside Candyland was his first, and the mural you can see from the roof deck is the largest mural in San Francisco!
