PROPERTY DETAILS

Welcome to 917 Bryant, a phenomenal live/work building in the heart of San Francisco’s center of innovation – SOMA! This building consists of a 2 bedroom, 2 bath residence atop a multi-room studio, perfect for an architect, artist studio, or other professional application.

The structure, originally constructed in 1924, has been thoughtfully updated to exude a hip, urban vibe while providing all the necessities for a successful live/work space. The building includes 2+ car parking in a huge garage and outdoor patio.

Outlooks through floor to ceiling windows lead to a verdant cityscape while gigantic skylights allow sunlight to pour in. Exposed concrete and timber add character and warmth, ensuring this space will get your imagination flowing – whether it be for your new startup or creative firm. Easy access to freeways, some of the most important tech HQs in the world, and some of the City’s best food & culture, 917 Bryant is a rare opportunity to set up shop in just the right spot.

Features include hardwoods, built-ins, sliding doors, track lighting, and an open entertainment space, all on the residential level. The kitchen is open to the living and dining areas, and features stainless appliances, a breakfast bar, and gas range with ventilation. A refrigerator with water/ice dispenser and stainless dishwasher round out the appliances.

A spiral stair leads to the lower level, which boasts concrete floors and glass partitions. The sliding partitions give the spaces extra versatility, cordoning off or opening up the giant rooms as needed. Custom curtains add privacy and a patio is located at the rear – the perfect place to step out for fresh air or enjoy a cappuccino.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Light industry once ruled this quiet backwater district; printing presses, welders, motorcycle repair, with a few dance spots thrown in for good measure. That is until city planners laid out a future more akin to New Your City's SOHO, where galleries and artist lofts might dominate the picture. That vision didn't quite materialize, though big changes remained just over the horizon for this centrally located enclave.

San Francisco had its dot-com explosion in the 90's and suddenly it was hip to live and work in SOMA. 3rd street saw the introduction of a major SF MOMA location, followed by Yerba Buena, and the Jewish Museum. Things very quickly shifted as multimillionaire tech-heads began populating the office spaces and lunchtime eateries, shifting the neighborhood's economic fortunes forever.

Once unremarkable warehouses were transformed into offices that boasted the latest Internet connectivity. Old printing factories now became the city's hottest luxury lofts. Folks began taking note of the Victorian cottages nestled in the modest alleys between the broad thoroughfares. This period also saw the rebirth of the Ferry Building at the end of Market. This classic historic structure morphed quickly into an exceptional food emporium and farmer market location without rival.

Just three blocks from Sightglass Coffee and Terrior (wine bar), 917 Bryant is an especially good spot. Walks to Mission Creek Park along the Channel are great to get your creativity going, and when it's time to enjoy some recreation, the San Francisco Giants and San Francisco Warriors are both within walking distance but also far enough from the crowds. Howard Langton Community Garden is a neighborhood gem and San Francisco's esteemed Design District is just a few blocks away.

SOMA remains today an urban district where dreams are made, in a comfortable setting unlike any other. And all within biking or walking distance!
